Claudia Bitran cannot watch herself kissing the strangers.

One by one, she cues them up on her MacBook, then turns away from the screen and shrieks.

One by one, over and over, the same scene plays out: In each, Bitran, dressed as Kate Winslet’s character Rose from “Titanic,” stands in front of a perspective painting of the most famous fictional bow of the most famous actual ship in history.

One by one, a different person stands beside her, portraying Leo DiCaprio’s character Jack. In each, the stranger, sometimes a man, sometimes a woman, leans in to kiss her.
