Operating at the intersection of art and activism, artist Dread Scott talks about the role his work plays in harnessing political energy, especially in public space, to support the continued struggle for freedom and emancipation. Following a keynote presentation of projects including Slave Rebellion Re-enactment (2019), Scott will be in conversation with Director of Chisenhale Gallery and member of the Greater London Authority’s Commission for Diversity in the Public Realm, Zoé Whitley to explore the role large interventions in public space can have in amplifying diverse histories.
